During WW2 some radio stations, like Radio Moscow, used a special technique to comment the official german propaganda. They broadcasted on the same frequency with a very powerful signal and succeeded to turn the propaganda into it’s opposite and to criticise the official voice of the Nazis with these “Geisterstimmen/ghost voices” – without having to fear a jamming station.

We will discuss such ways of audio- or radio-comment tactics, and will explore their artistic potential in a contemporary context. It is planned to launch practical projects in a physical or radiophonic space and develop our own ways of working, approaches, and attitudes in this field.
